Preparation is important to success.

Preparation is important, especially if you are limited on time and can only do the odd day or night here and there. Many anglers make some bottom rigs in preparation but forget the other scenarios they may face on their session.
Here you can see some bait prep, but with pop ups. These baits are now ready for easy application to a multi rig or to be added to a chod rig. This has saved me some time tying the rings on at bank side and if I'm on fish it enables me to get a rig back out much quicker, giving a better chance of another fish quickly. Also a fiddly job with winter cold hands has been saved.

Making up different length zigs and keeping them neatly in a storage system such as this one by Guru can allow you to fish a situation much quicker than if you had to sit and make the rig bank side, by which time the fish may have moved on.
This system is also great for floater rigs and chod rigs.

Make some bag/stick mix up before you go or between bites. Keep busy on the bank and at quiet times, take your time ensuring the best presentation you can offer goes into the water. Tidy rigs and presentations will get you more fish. The more times you repeat a process the quicker you become naturally.
You can even thread your rigs on ready for a quick change.
