Delkim TXi Plus Alarms

Picture
What Delkim say:
The Delkim Tx-i Plus is our flagship and biggest selling model in the
Delkim Plus range of electronic bite alarms. It continues to be the first choice
bite alarm for experienced anglers all over the world, where sensitivity,
controllability, versatility and reliability are the main requirements. Used in
conjunction with the Rx Plus Pro Mini Receiver it gives the user the
most reliable and sophisticated cordless radio system that money can buy, with
genuine range and long battery life expectations.

TeaLeaf Says (October 2012):
I have had my Delkim alarms now for around 14 months. They have been through all weathers during this time and still work and look as though I have only just unpacked them.
There is no doubt these alarms are of high quality build and the vibration detection system is outstanding for bite indication. This does reflect in the price, but after owning a set of these alarms I can honestly say it is unlikely I will ever change or switch them to another type, so my opinion is they are worth every penny!
The range of the sensitivity is outstanding and I am not even sure if there is another alarm on the market with such a big range.

Although the Delkim alarms have a very distinguished sound the only comment I would make is that if you are an angler that likes a "one toner" you wont get that from a Delkim. This is a comment I have heard from a couple of people and is true. Personally I like the Delkim sound (pitch adjustable of course) and it has never failed to make me feel excited when you hear it or wake me at night.

Although I have never had to send my Delkims back for any reason I do know a couple of anglers that have. Both advised they received excellent after sale service and advice from Delkim. Another advantage that softens the blow with regards to price in my opinion.

RRP:
£122.50 (for 1 alarm)
TeaLeafs best search: These are available on various sites, but due to the cost I would highly recommend buying new from a tackle shop or website, such as www.total-fishing-tackle.com, to ensure you are getting brand new alarms with their full Delkim support.

My product score: 9.5/10 (A small deduction for the price and those anglers who like the more traditional "one tone" sound of an alarm)

Delkim RX Plus Pro receiver

What Delkim say:
The Delkim Rx Plus Pro Mini Receiver continues to be the first choice for experienced anglers all over the world. It has proven to be the most reliable and sophisticated bite alarm radio receiver available with excellent range, penetration and extremely long battery life. 6000 HOURS BATTERY LIFE WITH CONTINUOUS USE is genuinely achievable and is the envy of our competitors. The advantage to users is infrequent battery changes, making rechargeable batteries and associated charging equipment totally unnecessary.

TeaLeaf Says (October 2012):
A great addition to your Delkim Alarms and handy for the sessions with your buddys in the swim next door (be responsible, don't use the full range of this receiver with your rods in the water! NEVER go too far from your swim!).
Like the alarms this will set you back a few quid but the quality is obvious.

RRP:
£139.50
As with the alarms I would buy this new from a tackle shop or retailer.

My product score: 8/10
